WHAT ARE MACROS?

Macros, short for macronutrients, are the three categories of nutrients that your body uses the most for energy. All three macronutrients are instrumental to a healthy diet.

Carbohydrates are the body’s main source of energy. Specific organs in your body, such as your brain, need carbohydrates in order to function properly.

Proteins allow your body to build and repair tissues and protect your muscle mass.

Fat allows you to store energy, cushion organs, make certain hormones, absorb fat soluble vitamins, and helps with cell membrane integrity.

When eaten in the right ratios, these three macronutrients can improve your weight, health, and overall physical well-being.
